39 Steps Until Disappearance

39 Steps Until Disappearance is a photographic experiment using sequential imagery and ‘performance for the camera’ in an attempt to harness affect through triggers such as dividing lines and liminal space, with the horizon line acting as a signifier of time and space measurement. Each sequence documents the performance of a woman, surrounded and eventually enveloped by, the natural space around her. The woman’s performance explores feminism as a linear narrative by emphasizing a linear movement through time and space.
